The National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (est,1979) was founded on the premise that it would provide a secure, healthy environment for the children i.e. the future of the nation.  The mandate was to see the possibilities before they exist, and we have thirty years of proven success doing it. In 1976 the Government of the day had embarked on the construction of nine secondary schools and took the decision to provide adequate maintenance and security services for these facilities. The job was given to an American company, EduSystems. In 1979 the Government decided to extend the service to all secondary schools and acquired 97% of the shares. The company's name was then changed to the Secondary Schools Maintenance and Training Company Limited (MTS as it is now known). In 1982 Government purchased the remaining shares and through the Memorandom of Association amended the company's portfolio to provide services to customers other than government or its agencies, thus fulfilling the thrust to self sufficiency and viability. The Company underwent another name change to the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited.

Managing this huge responsibility is the Chief Executive Officer and Divisional Managers, overseen by an appointed Board of Directors. Together they are transforming the enterprise, with the cooperation of the middle managers and workers, into a 'systems integrator' for facilities management, entering new markets and delivering high-end services. The new vision of MTS is that of a broker company with the requisite skills and technologies to acquire and manger new service solutions.
