Corporate Secretary, Legal Advisor
Ms Adilah Elahie is an attorney at law with ten years practice. She holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from the Hugh Wooding Law School. She also graduated from the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies with a Diploma in Industrial Relations.
She is a multifaceted professional with extensive training and experience in the areas of Corporate Governance, Contracts, Negotiations and Project Management to name a few.
She has been part of the MTS Team for six (6) years; first as the Assistant Corporate Secretary and now as Corporate Secretary/Legal Adviser for the last four years. Formerly, she served as the Legal Officer at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education (MSTTE) where she gained comprehensive knowledge and experience in contract drafting and legislative reform. She was also a Judicial Research Assistant at the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago where she benefited from the invaluable knowledge of the Judges of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
As Corporate Secretary/Legal Adviser she provides general corporate secretarial duties to the Board of Directors and ensures that the Company’s corporate governance and statutory obligations are met and are up to date. She provides Legal Advice and services to the Board, CEO and Management of the Company.
