DIVISIONAL MANAGER SECURITY

Lieutenant Colonel Andy Dalip-

Lt. Col. Andrew Dalip is a former Commissioned Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (Regiment). He served for thirty (30) years. During his service with the colours he held several appointments including, Vice Chief of Defence Staff, Staff Officer Administration, Staff Officer Operations and Training, Staff Officer Volunteers, Staff Officer Land Forces and Commanding Officer Trinidad and Tobago Regiment.

This officer has had the privilege of serving in Barbados as head of the Training Team during the early development of the Barbados Defence Force. Lt. Col. Dalip was appointed Commander of the Caribbean Defence Forces Contingent to Jamaica in 1988.

Lt. Col. Dalip was awarded the Efficiency Decoration (ED) and Efficiency Medal (EM). He attended the British Army Staff College, Camberly, the Canadian Forces Staff School, and the Canadian Forces Staff College. He also attended the Basic Officer Training Course and the Officer Cadet Training Course at the Canadian Forces Officer Training School and the Combat Arms Training Centre, Canada. He has been awarded the designations, p.s.c. (UK), p.l.s.c. (C'da) Qls (C'da). Lt. Col. Dalip joined MTS on November 09 1999.

A firm believer in training, Lt. Col. Dalip has insisted that training be one of the major pillars of the Security Division. The Division is now in pursuit of excellence.
