In its pursuit of
service excellence, MTS has embraced the philosophy of ensuring that the right people are
in the right place at the right time. This demands, among other things, that our
employees be provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to optimise their
performance.
Our programmes, which are tailor-made for various
categories of employees, emphasize performance-based training rather than subject
matter-based training, and consists of formal classroom activities and on-the-job
training. All training activities are conducted by a group of
appropriately qualified instructors who have had considerable experience in their
respective subject areas. Learning is facilitated by the use of audio-visual aids
and our management/supervisory offerings are highly interactive as is evidenced by the
emphasis on workshops, small-group discussions and role plays. Our Training Department has conducted courses for a number
of other organisations e.g. Airports Authority, Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and
Tobago Eastern Credit Union, Grafton Beach Hotel and PTSC to name a few. |
